Now we're screwed!

Last night after supper, I said to Jean-Paul, "I think it's time for a b-a-t-h." To which Alexandria replied, "I don't want a bath!" I looked at Jean-Paul and said, "Crap!" Then I looked at Alex and said, "You can spell!" Then I asked her, "What does c-a-n-d-y spell?" and she said, "I don't know." And I replied, "Good!"

Just to make sure we don't get too complacent, I guess!

Alexandria had an accident at the end of playgroup Monday night. She peed and soaked her pants, shoes and left a puddle. Luckily I still carry "just in case" clothes..... It's been quite a while since she's had any accidents!

Alexandria's Lament

We were on the GO train on the way home from Walking With Dinosaurs at the ACC when Alexandria asked for a snack. I told her she couldn't have a snack because she didn't eat much of her lunch. That's when she broke into song. Picture her singing this with a sad, quiet tone...

"I wasn't hungry then.
But now I'm hungry again.
I asked for a snack.
And she..... said..... no......"

It went on a bit from there, but I don't remember her exact words! Too funny!

Two more days to go!!

Woo hoo!! Only two more days left of commuting to Toronto! I will NOT miss that every day. I don't mind the drive itself - it's sitting in stupid traffic, the 'no-reason-for-the-traffic' traffic!

Then I'm off until July 2. It'll be a nice little break with the family before I start the new job.

Baby's first dentist visit

Ok, so the baby in this case is Alexandria. She did really well today with the hygenist and the dentist. And they were both great. It was the first time for all of us with the new dentist. (Thanks to Nico and Dayna for the suggestion. I really like the place and people.) While we were in the waiting room waiting for Daddy to finish up, Alex began chatting someone else who was also waiting. She said, "My name is Alexandria." The lady replied, "I'm Angela." Alex continued with, "I'm the big sister to him. He's Zachary." And motioned over to her brother. Then she pointed at me and said, "And this is Mommy. She's my mom." Everybody just smiled. She finished off with, "And Daddy is not in this room. Someone is looking at his teeth." (At least Daddy got a mention!)

I choose the clip art above because she looks like our new dentist (sort of!)

..And I'm probably getting my wisdom teeth out, then maybe.... wait for it..... braces!

Another "too close for comfort" one!

Check out this news story. The driveway the reporter is standing in while covering this story is the same one I drive out of every day from work. (Soon to not be doing this every day. Yay!)

Our Little Baby Boy

I swear he's looking more and more like his Uncle Jeremy every day. I see it more and more.

Oh, by the way... That jacket Zach's wearing? Size 3-6 month!! (Yes, our little 13 month old is a tiny dude!!)

Got the bug job!

I'm supposed to start July 2. I just gave my two weeks notice to Gemma. I'm hoping my last day there will be Tuesday, June 24. That way I can go to the kids' picnic on Wed and have a few days off before I start my new job. (Did I mention company car, laptop and cell phone! Sweet!!)

Spinnin' and Walkin'

Another video for your viewing enjoyment. This one shows you how Zach's coming along with the walking. He's doing it more and more every day. Crawling is still his first choice if he needs to get somewhere quickly. It's much more efficient for him at this point. Not for long, though!

Bug job's almost in the bag

I have to go through a couple more steps (crim check, reference check, some testing), but we talked salary, start date, company vehicle and such. So yay! As long as I don't come out with some weird, serial killer profile on the testing we should be good.

Yup. The ladies love me!

I'm sure that's what Zach was saying to himself! We went out for a family dinner tonight and one of the servers came by and was gushing all over Zachary. When she walked away he leaned back in his high chair, put his arms out, up and over the back and grinned. I wish we had caught that one video. Would have been a YouTube favourite for sure!!
