Monster Jam giveaway!
It's that time of year again. No. Not Christmas. Not Chanukah. Not New Years.
It's MONSTER JAM TIME! And, around our house, that means a very excited little boy. We've gone the last two years - since Zach was two and a half. I have no idea how or why he saw his first monster truck, but he did. And he's been hooked ever since. We'll be going again this time around to both the London and Toronto shows - thanks to Feld Entertainment. And they're also giving me tickets to give away. So, YAY YOU!
Here is Zach two years ago at the Rogers Centre (his first Monster Jam):

And here he is last year at the John Labatt Centre in London (his third Monster Jam - and no less excited):
This year is very exciting. Feld recently unveiled a Canadian monster truck - Northern Nightmare. And Zach and I got to be there. Very cool. He was in his glory. Northern Nightmare will be at all the Canadian dates - The Maple Leaf Monster Jam Tour.
And here is some video of the recent unveiling:
As I mentioned, you have a chance to win four tickets to see Northern Nightmare in either London's JLC or Toronto's Rogers Centre. In the comments below tell me:
1) Which location you would like to see Monster Jam in - Toronto or London (if either, you can state that).
2) Of the monster trucks listed to come to the JLC and Rogers Centre, which one are you most excited to see?
Contest closes at 11pm EST on Friday, January 6, 2012.
There will be a random draw for each location. If you've stated both locations, your name will be in both draws (unless you win the other location first).
The dates and show times are:
Saturday, Jan 14 7:30pm
Sunday, Jan 15 12:00pm - Pit Party from 9:30-11:00am
Sunday, Jan 15 5:00pm

Sunday, Jan 22 2:00pm - Pit Party from 11:00am-12:00pm
Good luck and I hope you get as excited about Monster Jam as my little guy does!!
And PLEASE! Ear protection is a MUST for the kiddos.

Zachary's fourth (yes FOURTH!!) birthday and birthday party
Zachary turned four today. We celebrated his birthday with family and friends on Sunday (the 17th). On his actual birthday, today, Mommy took him to playgroup - where he got his 4th birthday sticker he proudly wore all day. Then he was asked what he wanted to do. He wanted a Lunchable for lunch. I asked what he wanted to to. His first choice was FunWorx. I told him it was closed today. Then he said the London Children's Museum. I told him we needed to stay in the city. I said we could go to the Kitchener Children's Museum, but he thought he'd rather go to the mall for rides. That was easy, since there's a grocery store in the mall (for the Lunchable) and some little rides. Off we went. And after the mall, we picked up Alex from school and headed to the library at the birthday boy's request.
Do you like the "audience"? :)
And look at all the SNOW on April 21!!
This is what it looked like as Grandpa, Grandma and Jeremy got closer to Kitchener!
He had to "fix" the helicopter first
Still fixing.
All cleared for take off!
Blowing kisses to his adoring fans.
Daddy trying to put together a five-year-old's toy...
Mommy didn't do much better...

Look who got himself stuck
Check out Zach stuck way up high in the McDonald's playplace. There was no way Mommy was fitting up there. A little boy and girl helped guide Zach down. (Then of course, he was back up there again and again!)
Cars 2 tour comes to Vaughan Mills
Zach loves Cars. (It was actually Alex's first real movie in the theatre when she was two.) When I found out some cars from the new movie 'Cars 2' were coming to Vaughan Mills mall on a tour, I had to take Zach. We had a fun day just the two of us.
I don't want my picture taken!
Then Zach went on a couple rides at NASCAR Speedway. LOVED it!!
Mommy! Look! It's the bad guy from Angry Birds RIO!!
