Max is on his last life
I think we're all on the same page about the cat. I'm pretty sure he's going to be going somewhere else. Not exactly sure where yet. Even Jean-Paul is (sorta) on board. Max peed again in the playroom and I said to Alex, "I think it's time Max went to live somewhere else. Do you think that would be a good idea?". To which she replied, "Ya." Then paused and continued on, "Maybe someone had a cat who died and Max could go live with them."

Some "First Day" pics
She had to wear a dinosaur shirt
"so all my new kid friends will know I like dinosaurs".
Too cute!
(Quick cute story. After we met her teacher last week I asked Alex if her teacher seemed nice. Alex replied, "I don't know." She hadn't known her long enough to pass judgment, I guess. I asked her again at the end of the first day and she was able to form an opinion.
The verdict is - she has a nice teacher.)
(Gosh that backpack's huge!!!)

Here it comes! The big day is fast approaching!!
I can't believe my baby girl will be meeting her Junior Kindergarten teacher tomorrow. She doesn't officially start until late next week due to staggered entry. Not sure how I'll react that day when I watch her walk into the school - WITHOUT ME!
The First Day
I gave you a little wink and smile
As you entered my room today.
For I know how hard it is to leave
And know your child must stay.
You've been with her for four years now
And have been a loving guide,
But now, alas, the time has come
To leave her at my side.
Just know that as you drive away
And tears down your cheeks may flow
I'll love her as I would my own
And help her learn and grow.
For as a parent, I too know
How quickly the years do pass
And that one day soon it will be my turn
To take my child to class.
So please put your mind at ease
And cry those tears no more
For I will love her and take her in
When you leave her at my door.
